SPEAKING OF OREGON FOOD BANK…During the months of November and December, we will be having a class contest (Monday class vs. Tuesday class) to see how much canned food we can collect to take with us on our field trip. Please bring canned or non-perishable food to class (or drop it off at HOA anytime) and we will see who the winner is! The winning class will receive a special surprise at their last face-to-face class before Winter Break begins! Please let me know if you have any questions. Here is a website that will tell you which foods Oregon Food Bank needs the most:

November NO SCHOOL DAYS Mark your calendars for these dates, we will not be having face-to-face class on these weeks.
November 10-11
November 24-28
GRADING November 7 will be the last day that I will accept work for Quarter 1 grades, that’s only one week away. Know that I will not penalize your student if they are behind pace, but they will receive grades for the work they have finished up to that point. For the next week, you should focus on staying on pace or getting on pace, and going back and improving grades by retrying quizzes. I recommend focusing on improving grades in Language and Math because of how the new report card is written. If you have any questions, please let me know.
CONFERENCES? We will not be doing conferences on November 21st and 24th like the brick and mortar schools in the district. Instead, what I will do is contact families within the next few weeks that I need to meet with and scheduling meetings with you during the week of November 17-21. If you feel like you would like to meet with me, please contact me and we can schedule a meeting. If your student is doing well and you don’t have any concerns, I will not need to meet with you for a formal conference. However, I always enjoy talking with my families, so please feel free to request a meeting and I can absolutely fit you in.
I have had the privilege of working with, talking to, or emailing with many of you this week as we approach our first grading period. I truly enjoy working with you all and appreciate the time you dedicate to your children’s education. Please let me know if there is any way that I can help you! Have a great rest of your week!
