UPCOMING SCHOOL SPIRIT DAYS
March 2-3 PAJAMA DAY (SCHOOL APPROPRIATE, please)! It is also Read Across America Day, so we will be doing some extra reading activities instead of science. Students may bring sleeping bags and pillows and we'll enjoy a morning of reading and fun activities. We will also have some special guest readers join us as they read their favorite books to us. If students do not feel comfortable wearing pajamas, they can come in sweats or regular school clothes. If your student does not have a sleeping bag, a blanket is fine as well. We will be taking frequent breaks (like going outside), so please have your student bring outside shoes with them. They can bring slippers or cozy socks to wear once we are inside. Please let me know if you have any questions about this.
March 9-10 SCARF/TIE DAY 7th GRADE FORECASTING Parents of 6th graders! On Tuesday, March 10 at 9:00, Mrs. Harrington and Mrs. Tarrell, our school counselor, would like to meet with you to discuss forecasting for middle school for next year. While we would love to see you all back next year at HOA, we know that some of you may move on to other opportunities. They will present to you what our district options are, whether that’s at a brick and mortar school or here at HOA. If you are unable to make it, please let me know and we can arrange another time for you to come in. Please let me know if you have any questions.
ELEMENTARY CODING CLUB Our CODING Club meets on Fridays from 12:00-1:00 in the classroom at HOA. Students attending must have a permission slip on file. We would love to have parents stay and help! Experience coding is not necessary!
SCHOLASTIC We have a class code for online orders with Scholastic, it is MH739. It’s simple! Go to www.scholastic.com and register today! We earn points for books to build our classroom library! I place orders on the last school day of the month, so the next order will be placed TOMORROW, February 27.
SCHOOL LIBRARY We’ve just recently received a generous donation of books from Intel employees that was initiated by one of our HOA families! Thank you so much, you know who you are! If you would like to donate books to help build our school and classroom libraries, please let me know.

SCIENCE FAIR PACKETS Science Fair packets were passed out this week during our face-to-face class. If you did not receive one, there are still a few left here at the school. ALL elementary students must participate this year and will be assigned a grade, even if they are not currently enrolled in Science through Accelerate Ed. We will provide you with Science Fair display boards. Please be in contact with me if you have questions or think this will be a hardship in any way. The HOA Science Fair is on April 16 from 6:00-7:30 in our gym.
Please let me know if you have any questions at any time!
