ARRIVING EARLY/ON TIME FOR ART CLUB AND PE For your student's safety, we are asking Art Club and PE participants to arrive at HOA 5-10 minutes before the start of class. Students should wait quietly inside the school and should not walk down to the gym unattended (gym doors are locked and out of sight of teachers). Students who arrive late should come into the school and wait to be escorted down to the gym. Thank you so much!

We will be leaving on the bus at 8:30 and arriving back by 12:00. Please have your student dress in layers and pack a snack for the ride home. There will be a combined 3rd-8th grade PE following the field trip from 12:00-1:00. Students must have a current field trip permission slip on file with us as well as a photo release on file from the Oregon Food Bank. If your student has attended the OFB field trip in January, they DON'T need to fill out another photo release form. Photo release forms can be found in the FORMS tab on my website, mrskellar.weebly.com or at HOA on the morning of the field trip.
RECYCLE CONTEST Every school in the Hillsboro School District is competing against each other to see who can collect the most plastic film to be recycled. The winning school gets a new TREX bench! Lets win this contest! Examples of plastic film include shopping bags, ziplock bags, pellet bags, dry cleaning bags, etc. The plastic must be clean and food-free. You can bring your plastic film in anytime between now and April 15. So far, HOA has collected over 71 POUNDS of plastic film! That's 71 pounds of plastic that will stay out of the landfill! Great job families! Keep it up!
