***TRANSFERS*** If your student(s) intends to be at HOA next year, please submit your transfer continuation form to Kristina ASAP (this is for full time online, part time online, AND homeschool track students). Especially in a budget cut year, it is essential to have an accurate projection of Fall numbers. Please contact Kristina, our office manager, with any questions, 503-844-1050 or [email protected].
HOA IS A NUT-FREE CAMPUS We have a number of students at HOA that have life threatening peanut/nut allergies. Prevention is the best approach. Therefore, we ask your cooperation in not sending any class treats or snacks containing peanut/nut products to school with your child. Please let me know if you have any questions about this, thank you so much for your cooperation.

TALENT SHOW/FIELD DAY On-site activities at HOA at the elementary level conclude on Monday, June 3rd with our K-8 Talent Show and Field Day. We will start with the Talent Show at 12:00 and families are invited to attend. Field Day activities will begin at the conclusion of the Talent Show and will end with a 6th and 8th grade clap-out. In previous emails, I had listed the started of Field Day at 1:00, but we're not exactly sure when the talent show will be over, so I would recommend arriving at 12:00. We generally don't need volunteers to run games, but families are welcome to attend the entire day. If you have any questions about the talent show and/or field day, please email Ms. Stubbs at [email protected], or myself.
PARENT CONNECT Please join Angela Lorenzo, our Homeschool Consultant, and other HOA parents at Bagley Park on Monday, June 10 at 11:00 for one last Parent Connect gathering before Summer Break. Bring your kiddos, lunch, and enjoy an informative discussion about Summer educational opportunities. This meeting is open to any HOA parent.
LOST AND FOUND Parents, please take a quick look at the Lost and Found in our main hallway the next time you are on campus. We have several hats, jackets, and water bottles that have not yet been claimed.
COMPUTER RETURN If you checked out a school computer this year, computer return is June 10-13.
CLUBS NEXT YEAR Please let me know if you have any interest in helping with a club next year, or any cool new ideas. We are considering a different type of club schedule next year, instead of the same club being in place for the entire year, we would essentially have three sessions, a 12 week session during semester 1, a 12 week session during semester 2, and shorter 4 week session in May. The club times will stay the same, we'd just plug different things into those times as the year goes on. The thinking behind this is to create more of a variety in club offerings for students AND to allow more parents to be involved who might not want a full year commitment. Again, this is something that we are still considering at this point, but with enough parent support and club options, I think it might make for a more exciting and enriching on-site schedule for next year. Please let me know if you have any questions, thoughts, or ideas.
